  • 1/2 cup Zone PastaRx Fusilli
  • 1 cup Broccoli florets - frozen, thawed and drained, or fresh
  • 1 tsp Dr. Sears’ Zone Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic - minced
  • 1/2 cup Tomato sauce
  • to taste Italian seasoning
  • to taste Garlic powder
  • 3 tbsps Water - reserved from pasta or to taste
  • 2 tbsps Grated Parmesan
  • to taste Red pepper flakes - crushed
  • to taste Salt and pepper

  1. Prepare fusilli and broccoli by par-cooking in boiling water for 8 minutes to soften. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the water.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet to medium-high.
  3. Add garlic and par-cooked fusilli/broccoli and stir until coated with oil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and as much reserved water as desired and bring to a boil; cover.
  5. Reduce heat to low; cook 5 minutes or until fusilli/broccoli is tender.
  6. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Season with red pepper flakes, salt and pepper and serve.
