  • 1/2 cup Zone PastaRx Fusilli
  • 1 tsp Dr. Sears’ Zone Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Celery stalk - chopped
  • 3 tbsps Onion - diced
  • 1 Clove garlic - minced
  • 3 tbsps Red bell pepper - diced
  • 1 oz Extra-lean ground turkey breast
  • Cooking spray
  • 1/2 (14.5 oz) can Canned tomatoes - diced
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp Fresh chopped basil
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp Fresh-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Water - to taste
  • 1/2 cup Lettuce
  • 1/8 Red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup Cucumber

Instructions

  1. Cook Zone fusilli 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil to medium/high in a skillet. Add celery and onion. Cook for a few minutes first and then add the garlic and peppers.
  3. Remove from pan, spray with cooking spray and sauté turkey until no longer pink.
  4. Return veggie mixture to pan along with par-cooked fusilli.
  5. Top with canned tomatoes and crushed red pepper, stir well, and cover and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Top with fresh basil just before serving.
  7. Make a small side salad with the salad ingredients provided.
