I am brand to the zone diet, but am wanting to make sure that I understand everything thoroughly so that I can properly follow it. When cooking from a zone receipt, are the amounts given per ingredient pre- or post-cooking? For example, if a receipt calls for 3.5 ounces of lean ground hambuger or 3 cups of spinach, is that the amount to use before it's been cooked or once it's already been cooked?
