From FreeDieting.com: During the recent popularity of Atkins and South Beach, the Zone fell out of the limelight (despite strong associations with celebrity Jennifer Aniston). However it is back in the headlines again, [i:ce6743787b]after a year long university study found that the Zone diet was the most successful* and led to more weight loss than both Atkins, and conventional high-carb low-fat diets.[/i:ce6743787b] [b:ce6743787b]Zone Diet Online [/b:ce6743787b] This is one diet where you WILL DEFINITELY benefit from an online meal planner. There are two options - the official online program or a version over at eDiets called the 40-30-30 plan. In our opinion, eDiets 40-30-30 is the superior site - they have simplified the Zone and removed some of the more confusing and restrictive aspects - making it much more do-able. [b:ce6743787b]Zone Diet Recipes[/b:ce6743787b] Without doubt THE BEST source for Zone Diet Recipes is FormulaZone.com. They offer an enormous amount of recipes, fully searchable, submitted by people like you and me. In fact EVERYTHING about the Zone can be found at FormulaZone. In fact, Formulazone is probably one of the best priced solutions for following the Zone diet. Highly Recommended. [b:ce6743787b]The Last Word [/b:ce6743787b] The Zone Diet has been (in some respects) vindicated due to a recent long-term weight loss study. However, Dr. Sears' calorie level recommendations may be a little low for some - however the principles are good. It is arguably one of the more balanced popular diets out there today. The Zone diet also has assisted many in improving general health (not just weight loss). It is also very good for anyone with hypoglycemic problems. Due to the levels of proteins, it is possible to gain muscle on this diet (provided weight training is carried out). However the calorie levels will definitely need to be upped.

Good post John. You should sign up with the FormulaZone.com affiliate program and put the link on your website. That way you can get a discount on the membership. I'm going to do this on my 403030ForLife.com website when I get a chance. I've landed a web development job that is keeping me busy for now.

[color=darkred:2afbfad95c]Hi, Your post had me curious, so I checked out FormulaZone.com. Although my actual protein requirement is 12 , sometimes 13 blocks, that site advised me to eat 21 blocks daily! (???????) [/color:2afbfad95c]

Hi from a newbie everyone!!! I was researching the zone diet online and found this forum. Personally I have tried both Atkins and South Beach diets, and they did not help me loose much weight. About 4 months ago I read about the Zone diet at the WLN site http://www.weightlossnerds.com and it come highly recommended by the nerds so I gave it a try, I have lost 23 pounds so far and feel great. Does anyone have any good tips to get the most out of this diet?

    Hi TG!

    You're doing fantastic!

To get the most from the Zone, continue to listen to your body and adjust to it's needs. You'll have the best results if you focus on insulin control when choosing your carbs, and take one of the Zone Labs Fish oil concentrates.

    Keep up the good work!
