Hi Conan. I don't think the Zone would be optimal for those loking to add massive amounts of weight (football pro -read hyooge - bodybuilding), but is perfect for all other aspects of athletic performance, general fitness, as it promotes fat loss and bodybomposition changes. As to books, well, I don't think any of the Zone books are geared to this, although "Enter the Zone" does have a chapter on exercises, describing the need and uses for both aerobics and anerobics(resistance - which causes hormal production that go hand in hand with the Zone diet that straight aerobics do not). Now, I know and have many books on training, but need to know which areas you are interested in. I have them on general fitness, bodybuilding, competitive weightlifting, sports specifics, etc. Which are you interested in.I can name good ones from each ctegory. That being said, you might be interested in crossfit. The are a general fitness oriented group that work all aspects of fitness (sprints, long runs, limit strength, higher rep weight work-strength endurance) and combine it with the Zone diet. Lots of good info over there, as well as forums. Their nutrition forum is geared to combining the Zone with their type of training. Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness http://www.crossfit.com/ Good training Tim
