Hi everybody, in the recently published Italian edition of “The Soy Zone” – yes, it took three years to have this book published in Italy - in pg. 204 Dr.Sears defines the characteristics of the PGFO oil as follows: 1. EPA:DHA ratio as 2:1; 2. EPA+DHA min. 60%; 3. total omega3 min. 75%; 4. very low concentration of AA and of fats (?) . This has caused some confusion as he has already given his widely known and industry standard setting definition in his “Zone Omega3RX”. In that book he didn’t mention total omega3 minimum concentration, but did mention the upper level of 10ppb for the PCB’s. Requirement number 4 is also very poorly defined – in the “Zone Omega3RX” Italian edition it was more precisely referred to as AA/EPA < 0,04 . Are there any new developments we in Italy are still unaware of? Thanks.

The "Soy Zone", I believe, was written before PGFO quality was available. At that time only Health Grade FO was available.

The only noticeable change I have seen is the PCB amount of less than 45ppb (1/2 of the CRN maximum). OmegaRX has it at 10ppb ([i:dc043ba3f1]Page 75, OmegaRX[/i:dc043ba3f1]) Preliminary results on smaller batch testing yielded the standards published in OmegaRX. Once full scale production began, consistent PCB levels could be achieved at less than 45ppb. Please visit http://www.ifos.zonelabsinc.com/lesson.htm and http://www.ifos.zonelabsinc.com/standards.htm

Hi all, I was just wondering whether OmegaRX fish oil is the DSM Nutrinional Products' ROPUFA 75 n-3 EE. Someone is knowledgeable? https://www.nutraaccess.com/productCatalog.asp?pageID=63 https://www.nutraaccess.com/productDoc/pds/pds_5002494.pdf
