Weight (lbs): 158
Height (inches):5.87
if I do the zone diet, can I gain weight? I tried this diet for one week eating 14 blocks but I'm still 158. please help! |

The zone way to add weight is to add monounsaturated fat to the standard zone blocks.
to increase 1Lb a week simply add 3500 cals monounsaturated fat per week (389g a week or 56g a day)

Hi calki,
IMO you should also try to increase your LBM. If you increase LBM your weight will also increase. Are you doing some exercice with weights? Remember that if you add exercice, you will need to recalculate your blocks accordingly,

Hi,
weight training increases your strength and helps you building muscle mass, but make sure that you have the correct protein intake to support this (recalculate the blocks with the new activity factor). With the zone diet combined with weight training 3-4 times a week you should see the first risults in a couple of months.
