DO I HAVE TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FAT BLOKS WETHER I CHOOSE LOW FAT CARBOHIDRATES OR PROTEINS?
DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW MANY WALNUTS ARE IN A BLOCK? (CALIFORNIAN ONES)

[color=darkred:212409817b]You would use an additional 1.5 g fat block for each block of fat free protein or for each block of protein that contains less than 1.5 g fat to each 7 g protein. Examples of fat free protein are some soy meats, protein powder, eggwhite, egg substitute and fat free dairy products. Many deli meats, especially turkey, have very little fat and would require the addition of an extra fat block.

P.S. A true FAT Block is 3 grams! Use 1.5 grams because most low-fat proteins have fat content of 1.5 grams per 7 oz protein. If your protein source is Fat FREE, then you will need to add 3 grams Fat per block of Protein. |

Hi.. I work a lot and I want a recipe that is easy to carry. If somebody know about a sandwish wll be the best!!! 2 bloks please. |

Considering that bread is an unfavorable carb, I can't recommend a sandwich. But, if you are going to have a sandwich, I would recommend going with Ezekiel bread, otherwise known as sprouted wheat. It is said that this bread has a lower GL than conventional whole grain breads. Anyway, if you do a sandwich, you could basically put 2 blocks worth of sliced turkey breast inside of your bread slices. Add 2 blocks worth of almonds. I use mustard for my spread, or maybe a thin layer of hummus would do (a thin layer probably won't cost you much more in terms of carb). |

Hi sara! 3 oz of deli-style turkey, 1 small apple and some almonds is a 2 block meal that is just as easy to carry as a sandwich and will keep you in the Zone. Another easy and very portable Zone balanced 2 block meal is a Dr. Sears Zone bar (found in the PRODUCTS tab). Enjoy! |
