I went to our local Target Greatland yesterday, and they had Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Lemon and Strawberry; Each was $.55 on sale. Tried a PB and had 1/2--easily held me 2 + hours. Didn't think it would, as it didn't have the crunchy goodness of the ZonePerfect bars, but it actually held me better than those do. Worth a try for emergencies.

Wow, could Target in my area (Fort Worth, Texas) have Smartzone bars.? I have looked literally everywhere else! The Zoneperfect are more glycemic. (I also noticed they are only 8 years old or so - a copycat company but not as scientific. I enjoy the price though.) Omega bars are the obvious best choice, but currently I am allergic to dairy (which is in the Omega Bars) andSmartzone bars have some non-dairy. In cooler weather you can just order them off the Zonediet.com website, but there is a steep shipping charge during warm weather. i am very excited about this diet. Thanks to the renewed health we both feel and also a mailing about statins, my husband increased the Omega 3 oil, and then got off blood pressure medicine! We've been doing this seriously for 3 weeks, and have come so far! So - the lower glycemic bars seem worth the hassle of trying to find. I want my strudents to try them. I just taught some of my 4th graders to read labels, & to build "blocks" which they keep on index cards (color-coded) in a box. You never know, maybe they will start a Zone Cafe here someday! Anyone from Fort Worth Texas out there?

I think you will find them at Target. I have found them in several Target stores in WI, not just one. Also, I saw a new SmartZone bar at Walmart--it has a crunchy peanut butter texture very similar to the ZonePerfect peanut butter bar. I tried it, it is very good!

It is well worth peaking at it: [url]http://www.hersheys.com/smartzone/h...;/url] They also have a nice bar chart in the FAQ that shows the GI of SmartZone vs ZonePerfect as well as Banana and Bread. :D

It was pretty good. :) Not as dry as the original flavours. And it was not too crunchy, either. They seem to have gotten even better.

(Which I like much better.)
