Hi I've started following the zone diet and just started taking Omega 3's however I've read that high dose Omega 3"s cause blood thinning. I should note I'm on a daily asprin therapy. Has there been any expierience with this and should I have a special blood test to make sure my blood is not to "thin". Thanks Tom

Of course you might want to consult your physician about the appropriateness of daily aspirin therapy for your needs, if you haven't already, but as for your concerns re fish oil plus daily aspirin and blood thinning, no worries. They work on differ pathways, as I understand. Also, it was discovered about 10 years ago that fish oil together with 1/2 baby aspirin produces a new class of good eicosanoids never before known, called epilipoxins. You can read more about the in Barry Sears' book " The Omega RX Zone". Incidentally, I've been taking Omega RX together with daily baby aspirin for abut 11 years, with no problem.
