Happy new Year to you all :)

ive been eating paleo and crossfitting for 1 year now and prior to this leg of the journey, i had lost 53kgs.

since starting crossfitting and cleaning up my diet ... i have gained 6 kgs

next step was to throw away the scales and i now measure and pinch and use the mirror. I have approx 20kgs to loose or rather, 12 months worth of body fat to get to my goal..

i am constantly improving in the gym no problem there, baby steps.

but feel that ive not had much progress at all. having started on the zone with my diet i did struggle at first with feeling hungry but have adjusted well (gee its hard work hey?!) its been four weeks now and i paleo/zone as im really carb sensative and i dont eat dairy, however am struggling with the zone and have started using cottage cheese for its ease when nothing else avail.

I believe i should be opting for the low fat options in my protien, i do notice kangaroo isnt listed its really high in protien low in fat... so i compare it to chicken perhaps? i keep my food simple.. its just fuel.

i train six times a week for an hour, sometimes i throw in a 7th or 8th extra run/work out if time permits/ body allows!
im 41 years old and as mentioned have lost 53kgs to date, just cant seem to blast this last bit...

I see Sue and perhaps a few others have lost alot of weight? can you help me with this last 20kgs please!!!??? :) thanks for listening

    Narelle,

Congrats on your progress! My first thought, make sure you're eating the right amount by checking your protein/block requirement with the body fat calculator on this site and use the "Very Active" level. This is usually the appropriate activity level for intense Cross Fit. Add Omega RX and polyphenols daily if you're not already doing so. Happy New Year!

oooo dear me.. .used the calculator as suggested and seems im not on 11 blocks asi thought....

more like 17 blocks a day.

i was struggling with being hungry

what about the day i dont train do i reduce the blocks that day? (i do train 6 days so its not a huge problem and i usually spend a few hours with th ekids in the water at the beach on my day off anyway!)

No wonder you were hungry. Eat the same number of blocks every day whether or not it is a training/exercise day, because you are still rebuilding muscle on your rest day.
