I have been taking cod liver oil for a while and had 4 capsules of fish oil Fri. and Sat. and had the most severe stomach pains! It felt like my stomach was buring and I felt so uncomfortable I could barely sleep. I have been dealing with bouts of constipation and diarrhea for a while and I wondered what could be going on with the fish oil - if that is even them problem at all. I have been binging on fiber cereal lately and wonder if this is the problem coupled with the fish oil. I took cod liver oil today and have no stomach problems but feel constipated. It's so hard to know how if your regular when you have bouts of diarrhea...I feel so lost on what to do and would love to get some guidance. Thanks.

I'd say check with your physician.

I'd stop the cod liver oil. Take Omega Rx together with Sea Health Plus for best absorption. Try taking fewer capsules at first and work up to your appropriate dose over time.

Maureen, I used to have bouts of GI problems while taking OmegaRx. I honestly don't know what I did to resolve the issue, other than Taking it with a dairy product. Just to be clear on your issue, were you doing fine on cod liver oil until you switched to OmegaRx? Guess I just need to know the sequence of events.

I was taking cod liver oil first then switched to Rx fish oil which is when my reaction began. I look two capsules today and am hoping all will be a little better...
