Depends on what you are looking for. Mastering the Zone is one of the best books in terms of learning how to eat in the zone, using the block system, etc. The more recent books are great for the science behind the zone. |

My faves are The Soy Zone and Anti-Aging. The Soy Zone is best, I think. Meat has AA, since animal sources are the only direct source of AA. He goes into a bit of detail in this book. I do eat fatty fish and, on rare occassions, other seafood, so I dislike all of the meat-based recipes in his other books. But, of course, most people DO eat meat. |

"A week in the Zone" takes you through all the concepts of the Zone and orvides, recipes, shopping and cooking instructions for 7 days. It is easy reading and gets you on cuise control after 2 weeks. It is available on this site and is less then 7 dollars. It will be the best 7 bucks you ever spent. The books that Sue and Cran suggested are both very good... More science and in depth.
