I forgot who asked now ... Larry? John? Whomever ...

From my El Peto Products egg white powder package: "You can handle and use it like regular egg whites, e.g., whip it to meringue or use it in your recipes ..."

I kept meaning to answer that person who asked about the egg white powder, whether it can be whipped up or not, the answer is yes ...

Wow, nearly $8.00 (USA) for a small tin.
    (Egg White powder).
Bought some to try your Chocolate bars recipe.

    Cool!! :-)

I'd love to hear what you think ... it does take tweaking. The texture varies too.

And, I computed that my egg white powder (which comes in a little bag, so it's about one cup, and 1/4 cup is 20 grams of protein) is about the same price as actual eggs themselves (except I don't use the yolks obviously).

So not sure if you're paying extra for the packaging?

I'm finding, though, that if I eat one meal of chocolate bar for protein, I'm fine. But if I eat it constantly, as I have on occasion, that I start ... what's a polite way of saying it? I go to the bathroom and it smells bad there afterwards. Ok? Gotta be honest. Maybe it's just my issue though ...

It's worth it for me to eat it several times a week though ...

    Good point!
My cardboard "tin" has 21 servings.
1 serving is 2 tsp is 1 egg white in volume is 3 g Protein.
So 21 servings is equivalent to about 20 real eggs.
12 real pastured eggs is about $5.00.
Or 12 supermarket eggs is about $3.00.
So its only a fraction more and I do hate throwing away all those egg yolks.
Which is why we eat Pastured eggs.
But for the purpose of having just egg whites, I can see its usefulness.

So, my Canadian experience and your American experience seem to match ... :-)

I'm learning conventional egg yolks could be very good for your hair ... for various other stuff ... I'm reading up on it over time ... LOL. Not for eating, though.

I know there was a thread about the AA in pastured eggs or non-conventional eggs. I can't recall how much AA was in pastured eggs, but not that much?

I do love a fried egg with a runny yolk. So divine. I used to eat it as a child!

    So do I!
Modified a bit from childhood, with a slice of sprouted (Ezekiel) bread instead of plan cardboard white bread.
Counts as one of my cheat meals about once per month or once every two months.
