    Hi everyone,

I started taking The Zone fish oil just over 2 weeks ago.

I am taking it for a neurological condition of ADD, lack of concentration and brain fogginess - along with a strict zone diet.

In the book he recommends starting on 10g for such complaints, so I stated taking 10 capsules as according to the bottle the caps are 1g each? But then I read in the book that this is in fact 15 capsules?!!

    Can someone please clarify.

    Thanks!

The10g recommendation refers to mg of EPA plus DHA. There are 600 mg of EPA plus DHA in one 1000mg capsule of Omega Rx.

Our OmegaRX is 2.5g for every 4 capsules; based off of the sum of EPA and DHA. So is your wanting 10g that would be 16 capsules. Most individuals whom I have to spoke to who take this quantity switch to liquid. I would also recommend you look at adding SeaHealth Plus to your daily routine.

Here is some information about SeaHealth Plus

An all-natural, concentrated liquid supplement with a broad-spectrum blend of 10 fruits, 72 trace minerals derived from freshly harvested sea vegetables, and IASC certified Aloe Vera to help regulate inflammation.

SeaHealth Plus provides 5 servings of real fruits and vegetables and it’s the simplest, most inexpensive way to meet your 7-13 daily servings. Every ingredient is 100% real fruits and vegetables, not stuff created in a lab like some other brands. We only use the purest form of polyphenols, giving you the most potent anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging benefits possible. Naturally flavored with dark cherry and honey.

    Benefits of SeaHealth Plus:
Helps prevent fish oil from oxidizing in the body
Five servings of fruits and vegetables in each capsule
    Anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-aging benefits

    Tech Support,

How do you compare the polyphenol plus and polyphenol rx to seahealth plus in terms of bang for the buck? (I take one poly in the am and one in the pm.)

    Thanks

Each has its uniqueness. Dr. Sears takes the SeaHealth Plus with the Polyphenol-XT.

Polyphenols are the Phytochemical that gives fruits and Vegetables their color. When concentrated, they have remarkable properties including anti-oxidants-anti-inflammatory and anti-aging nutrients.

The SeaHealth is awesome stuff; a broad-spectrum blend of 10 fruits, 72 trace minerals derived from freshly harvested sea vegetables, and IASC certified Aloe Vera to help regulate inflammation. The combination of the Fruits, trace minerals and Aloe Vera makes this product really special.

Polyphenol Plus is a broad spectrum of polyphenol fractions from 17 different fruits and Vegetables. Each capsule has approx. 8000 ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity)..

Polyphenol RX includes 20mg of Delphinidins and has everything the Poly Plus has. Delphinidins are a special class of polyphenols that Dr. Sears likes to call "super polyphenols” Dr. Sears has found that the Maqui Berry produces the richest source of Delphinidins.

Polyphenol XT is made with 100% Maqui Berry. Dr. Sears states that the Polyphenol XT represents the most concentrated form of "super-Polyphenols" known to nutritional science.

Dr. Sears also has mentioned that Delphinidins have a great impact on AMP Kinase(anti-aging enzyme)

So bottom line is all of the Polyphenols listed above are excellent products. I like that you have choices depending on your budget.

As far as "Bang for your buck” I am with Dr. Sears. The SeaHealth/Polyphenol-XT combo has the biggest bang.

Tech Support or Sue - I'm taking 1 TBS of OmegaRX (= 12 capsules). Sue mentioned that one capsule of polyphenols (8000 ORAC units) should be taken with every 4 capsules of fish oil so I'm taking one SeaHealth Plus dose and 2 capsules of Polyphenols Plus with my fish oil each day.

I'm wondering if one Polyphenols XT capsule could replace the 2 capsules of Polyphenols Plus. That would cost a little more than I am now paying but it's within my budget. Would I still get all of the needed polyphenols for my fish oil dose?

    Thanks

I take that same combo as Dr. Sears.

Larry, personally I'd feel like I was better covered with the combination dose.

Sarah, someone once told me you can keep an open bottle of SHP in the fridge for a year, though I don't know the current recommendation. I've never tried it. I go through a whole bottle of SHP in less than a week.

Hi Sue - I'm not sure which combination dose you are referring to for taking with 1 TBS of omegaRX --

---current 1 SeaHealth Plus dose + 2 Polyphenols Plus capsules (1 dose per tsp of omegaRX)

    OR

---alternate 1 SeaHealth Plus dose + 1 Polyphenols XT capsule

    Thanks

Larry, I misread your qn. I had in mind that you were referring to replacing the SHP with the XT.

As you know polyphenols are both antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. All the polyphenol products we sell have the same antioxidant properties with an ORAC value of 8000. We generally tell people that for every 4 capsules of fish oil they consume to take 1 capsule of polyphenols. This helps with any oxidation that takes place during the digestion process of the oil, plus you get all the benefits of the polyphenols.

The Poly XT is viewed as our best because of the delphinidins they contain. Not only are they antioxidants and anti-inflammatories but they have the ability to activate the “enzyme of life” AMP-Kinase which plays a role in maintaining energy levels and allowing us to function at peak performance.

The delphinidins add a new dimension to our polyphenols so if you want to forego your two polyphenol plus for 1 XT just make sure you are consuming lots of colorful vegetables and fruits throughout the day to counteract any natural oxidation that might take place through taking your fish oil.

Trying to DECIPHER the differences! (from Tech's reply.)
    .
The SeaHealth: 8000 ORAC, 10 fruits, 72 trace minerals , IASC certified Aloe Vera - inflammation.

Polyphenol Plus: 8000 ORAC, 17 different fruits and Vegetables. 0 ? trace minerals. No ? Aloe Vera.

Polyphenol RX : 8000 ORAC, 17 different fruits and Vegetables. 0 ? trace minerals. No ? Aloe Vera, + 20mg of Delphinidins
In other words: same as PLUS + 20mg of Delphinidins

Polyphenol XT : 8000 ORAC, ?? different fruits and Vegetables. 0 ? trace minerals. No ? Aloe Vera, + ?? mg of Delphinidins
    made from Maqui berries?
    .
    .
TECH please clarify the differences, additions to each successive version to make it EASIER to COMPARE!!!
(and understand the differences, progressive additions in each product.)

John ... I am not undertsanding if you have a question or you are Critiquing how I answered the question. Maybe the product page may help you understand. I will repost what I wrote... it seems like a pretty simple breakdown for both sides of the brain.

I guess you can look at it like this. I hope this is helpful for you.... Polyphenol Plus is a Great antioxidant, Polyphenol RX is a Great Antioxidant that utilizes the Macque berry's unique properites (delphinidins). Polphenol-XT is a Great antioxidant the is made from 100% Maqui Berry thus has the greatest amount of Delphinidins.

    No, I had a Q?
But, your repost is now worded slightly different than the original!
Now the modified reposting - does describe better the differences and it clarifies it a little better for me.
    Thanks.

thanks Tech Support. that is what I needed to know. I think I'll stick with 2 Polyphenols Plus, for now. I'm getting your omega 3 blood test done and that may change my fish oil dosage.

As I understand it (simplified, easy to read, chart):
    .
The SeaHealth = 10 fruits, 72 trace minerals, IASC certified Aloe Vera.

Polyphenol Plus = SeaHealth + 7 additional different fruits and Vegetables.

Polyphenol RX = Polyphenol Plus + 20mg of Delphinidins.

Polyphenol XT = Polyphenol RX + additional 50mg of Delphinidins.
    .
All have 8000 ORAC, all have 72 trace minerals, all have IASC Aloe Vera.
    .
    Correct?
