Does anyone have advice about how to transition from a high protein, low carb diet (Atkins) to The Zone? I want to make sure that I don't gain a lot of weight making the transition as I've been on Atkins for 8 years and I don't want the re-entry of carb's into my diet to immediately become fat. Thanks! Celeste

Celeste, I'd say just start the Zone Diet and see how it goes. Then take it from there. Zone Wellness Support should be able to give you info about transition issues as they occur (the Wellness Support email address is in "Contact Us " at the bottom of this page). There will most likely be a transition period, but stick with it. It will be worth it. Another resource for Zone information is Dr.Sears.com. Search "Atkins " there and you'll find Sr. Sears' answers to various questions from individuals as they transitioned from Atkins to the Zone.
