    Lets not let the dog days of summer get us out of our exercise routine! Feel free to post your exercise routine here... looking at other routines may inspire someone to start or change up their current level of activity.

    Cran - been on vacation?
    I have an update on my Piraformis Syndrome.
    Saw a Sports Masseuse twice, a bit pricey, but didn't do a whole lot.
    As some of you know, my wife has been side-lined from kayaking and bicycling this summer,
    because of dual tendinitis and possibly some bursitis in her right shoulder.
    A friend of ours recommended her (christian) Acupuncturist.
    My wife tried, went two sessions so far, and has more movement in her shoulder than she has since the initial onset in late Spring this year.
    So, I went to see her (the Acupuncturist), yesterday, it might be a halo effect, though I am fairly critical in trying to be objective;
    however, there might be a tiny bit of improvement - though I will reserve my judgement until after a few more sessions.
    (She uses traditional acupuncture with trigger point therapy. The trigger point therapy is short but sore. Though she did do 4 trigger points at once in my calf the first session, and then 3 in my hamstring - yikes! I'll keep you updated.
    My goal is to be able to begin to start being able take the dogs for longer walks and then to be able to start hiking again this Fall
    (Oct-Nov).
    And I've cut back on bicycling a little, since my wife is unable to join me.
    Though we do not bike nor hike so much in hot summer (July-August) mostly we kayak and more kayaking in the Summer;
    we might be at the point where she can start some light, easy, short, flat, paved bicycle trips, without stressing her shoulder.,
    just in time to bike during the cooler fall weather.

    I have been trying to get the miles in. I fell just short of 1000 miles since May. Hubby thinks a decent goal would be 1500 for the year.
