This is the new July exercise thread. Everyone is welcome to participate! Just post what your exercise regime is. You can post daily, weekly, or just a simple post to outline what your routine is like.

I was slowed down by my dog bite on June 25, but was able to resume bike riding as of July 13. I am limited to lighter activity, nothing strenuous. And the heat here has been extreme (at least to us northerners it is), so even without the dog bite, I am guessing that the heat might have slowed me down, anyway.

July 13: 35 minute bike ride
July 14: 43 minute bike ride
July 15: 20 minute bike ride
July 16: 44 minute bike ride (was a little faster pace than the previous rides)

Same here, other than kayaking, body needed rest, did not do weekly , let alone twice weekly heavy lifting -
until this morning. Felt great! And Piriformis Syndrome (right leg getting better, albeit slowly.
Through Groupon, had a 50% massage. I was expecting a one hour relaxation, but it turned out,
she does more sports and injury work, and since I booked her before my piriformis Syndrome appeared, it was very fortuitous.
She spent additional time with the Piriformis and associated muscles, and I am noticing a small acceleration in the healing.
Get paid next week, and another 1/2 hour appt.

A little catching up to do here..

    July 24: 1h 18 min bike ride
July 27: 41 min bike ride

I will probably do a longer ride tomorrow, but I am actually planning on doing a charity ride on Sunday. The Best Friends Gourmet Bike Tour has rides for all skill levels, and has lots of gourmet food selections at each rest stop. After the ride, they are serving more food at the end.

At the beginning of the year, I was planning on building up to ride the 100 mile course. However, the dog bite injury kind of set me back. So, I am going to aim for 55 miles. They have a 25 mile course (which is all flat and really not challenging for me), then the 55 mile, 75 mile, and the century. Earlier in the summer, I rode in an event that took me 67 miles, and that was a good challenge for me, made me rethink the 100 miles. Still, I thought I could shoot for 75 miles if not the 100, but I think I will just stick with 55. After all, its on Sunday, and I would not have another day to rest before work in the morning!
