I've been using this product for myself and daughters for a year and a half. I've loved the product. However recently I've had two bottles of the liquid Omega Rx freeze. There also has been some digestion issues with myself and my daughters. My daughters take the microcapsules and I take the liquid. We all three have times, recently, where we "pass gas" and our underwear has fish oil in it. Then when we have a bowel movement there is oil floating in the toilet with a fishy smell. Any one else have this problem??? Any one know why this would now be occurring??? I've taken fish oil pills or cod liver oil most of my life. I'm 35. |

Shane, this issue will usually be resolved by taking Sea Healrh Plus with your Omega RX dose. |

Shane... How much fish oil do you take daily? When are you taking your Fish Oil ? The Freezing you mentioned is most likely due to the natural changes in the fish based on seasonal variations depending when the fish are caught. All OmegaRx lots are always more than 60% EPA/DHA Polyunsaturated fatty acids with the lowest levels of impurities available on the market. Normally if you leave the liquid on counter for 2-3 minutes and then shake. It will flow. If you are using the product regularly it is fine to store in Frig instead of freezer. Freezing simple adds to the products shelf life once opened. If you ever have concerns about the Dr Sears Fish oil you can always call 800-404-8171 and ask for the Lot # report. |

I take a tablespoon a day. From what I read that is what is recommended for someone with chronic pain and inflammation. I was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis when I was 15. I don't have any major problems now (I'm 35), but I'm also very active with my job (firefighter/paramedic), and my workouts. These issues are something new. I've taken this product for awhile and so have my kids. I actually just cancelled my autoship for the liquid. I'm keeping the microcapsules for my kids for now. |

@Shane and others... How do you know you "love the product"? I have been taking between 10 - 14 RX Plus a day, and I honestly don't notice feeling any different to how I normally feel. Perhaps it lowers "silent" inflammation which is a very good thing. I *think* it is helping me to recover from an illness that I just had. But I don't feel any different and I have no way of quantifying the results... |

The way I knew I loved Omega Rx was that my high blood pressure normalized within less than a week of first taking it. My doctor had taken me off me off all blood pressure meds by the time I'd been talking Omega Rx for 2 weeks. Prior to taking Omega Rx, I'd been on numerous high blood pressure drugs (usually two at a time), I'd lost 100 pounds, I'd tried 3 other brands of fish oil (those recommended by Barry Sears prior to Omega Rx become available) and I'd been following the Zone diet for many years, but to no avail when it came to lowering my high blood pressure. My doctors were stumped and my blood pressure had remained around 160-170/95-100. That was about 11 years ago and to this day my blood pressure remains excellent, in fact lower than it's ever been. My typical reading is 104/66. |

Yes, your story is very inspiring, Sue! :-) Regarding blood pressure: I recently had a medical checkup and they got quite shocked at my incredibly low blood pressure. They said with that kind of blood pressure I ought to be fainting regularly (I don't....) Could I have lowered my blood pressure by having TOO MUCH fish oil? I believed the comments here that it's basically harmless to OD on fish oil... And I definitely DID have inflammation in my body, since I had Sarkoidosis in combination with acute arthiritis in my feet (they are related...) Could I nevertheless have OD:d? Should I reduce the 12 Omega RX I've been taking to a lower dose? I strongly suspect that pretty much any Dr here in Sweden (where nobody including medical staff have heard about anti-inflammatory diets...) would tell me that it is dangerous to take this much fish oil. So I am keeping it too myself. But without the Test of inflammation levels I have no way of knowing if I am in fact overdoing it! I draw the line at travelling to the USA or Canada just to do the test....

PS - Sue, how come you are only taking 1 Omega RX every 3 days? |

It's the dose Dr Sears personally helped me work out. Any more than that and within 45 minutes I become very lethargic and unfocused. |

Hannah, going back to your original question, I can't say that I "love" any supplement that I am taking! I really don't like taking pills/supplements at all. I used to take OmegaRx,. As one who doesn't like taking supplements, I also take calcium and vitamin D, as well as a daily NSAID (which I am considering dropping). Lately, though, I have been a walking pharmacy with my antibiotics and probiotics added to all of this!! |
