[quote:20f37620b9="jaydpiii"]Today on "[b:20f37620b9]The Screen Savers" (G4TechTV) [/b:20f37620b9] they had an author / scientist on talking about longevity of life. "Author Ray Kurzweil discussed the latest advances in nanotechnology and human longevity." [/quote:20f37620b9]
Some more info and links:
Author, scientist, and National Inventor Hall of Famer Ray Kurzweil appeared via satellite to talk about the amazing new advances in nanotechnology to cure diseases and extend life spans. In fact, he's written a new book on the subject, [b:20f37620b9][u:20f37620b9]Fantastic Voyage[/u:20f37620b9][/b:20f37620b9], that offers three "bridges" to extending your life: what you can do now, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.
[quote:20f37620b9="jaydpiii"] In "What you can do now" he stated a few things, all were recomendations which are basically the ZONE! [/quote:20f37620b9]
Kevin immediately asked Ray whether he will live forever. "You'll find it pretty easy," Ray promised. "But I plan on joining you."
Ray takes several hundred supplements a day, and he claims it will prolong his life. "I'm very aggressive in reprogramming my biology, like I would reprogram my computer," he said. ([b:20f37620b9]He highly recommends Omega 3 fatty acids, by the way[/b:20f37620b9].)
But Ray is more excited by "nanobots," blood-cell-sized 'bots that will destroy pathogens and correct DNA errors, slowing down the aging process and eventually stopping it, he says. "Nanobots go beyond biology - they're much more powerful and much faster than evolutionary progress."
