Desiree: There could be many reasons for dry skin, i.e., dry air from winter weather or heating systems, soap, long hot showers/baths, applying lotions to dry skin (should be damp), medications, clothing, silent inflammation, change in diet, etc. Dr. Sears suggests that for general good health supplement with 2.5g/d of the long chain omega 3’s EPA and DHA. That’s 4 OmegaRx capsules per day.
Some individuals when losing weight also release AA (arachidonic acid) which may cause dry skin. More info on AA is at: http://drsears.com/ArticlePreview/t...fault.aspx http://drsears.com/Resources/tabid/...fault.aspx
