It had been about 4 hours since lunch. I couldn't pass on Free Cone Day. I thoroughly enjoyed it! (Chocolate Brownie Fudge) Then I ate 1/2 of a chocolate chip Zone nougat bar. I finally got home about 2 1/2 hours later, still feeling fine and in the Zone (all the fat in the Ben and Jerry's helps slow the carbohydrate entry, I guess...). By dinner time it was 3 1/2 hours since the cone, and still feeling fine. Dinner was a salad of romaine lettuce topped with chicken pesto meatballs (no antibiotics, no nitrates, etc.), cherry tomatoes, shredded carrot, a little bit of crumbled Australian blue cheese (and, whew, that was strong stuff!) and some Trader Joe's Greek Style Feta Dressing thinned with water. Dessert was part of a fresh pear and the other half of the chocolate chip nougat bar (approx. 4 block meal). What did you have? |

We are at a waterpark. We got a room with a kitchen and I have been staying in the zone all day, while saving money on expensive waterpark food! Brought my smoothie maker and made smoothies for all. I brought along bagged salad and a few "go withs". My sisters family doesn't eat in the zone and they are making more carb heavy meals. Bu everyone is partaking of all the foods. Tonight was chicken night, and I made a southwestern salad while the others had mashed potatoes and broccoli. |

Spiral cut and steamed some zucchini, scrambled some ground turkey, heated up some jarred sauce and put it all together in a big bowl with some olive oil drizzled on top. Then had some of Johns "Dark Chocolate Mousse" with fresh strawberries for dessert. (Great recipe, John!) Paula |

Well, I guess Sue has inspired me, once again! My "dinner" consisted of Mocha Almond Fudge ice cream! I could have passed it up, honestly. But, had an emotional day, felt like having something chocolate. It did hold me pretty well, but can't let this become a habit! |
