This is day 2 on the zone for me. I have a question about the timing, do I really need an after dinner snack? This is my breakdown now, give or take 30 mins:
    8am breakfast
    11am snack
    130pm lunch
    430 snack
    630 dinner

I know it is supposed to be 3-4 hours, but I usually get in bed by 9 or 10 (I have 3 small kids) and I can't imagine eating a snack right before I get into bed.

I would greatly appreciate any input on the matter!

Not only am I hoping this will help with my weight (need to lose 30), but I have also read that it can help with my Meniere's. Here's to hoping for the best:)!

I think your timing is fine. It is preferable to have something to eat closer to bedtime, but if this schedule works for you, and you are able to stay in the Zone, then it is fine.

Great! Thanks for getting back to me! Also, is it ok to have one cup of coffee with a little milk in the morning?

    I have coffee sometimes.

Various zoners will answer this question differently. I am of the mindset that if it isn't excessive, it is OK.

You do have to pay attention to how you respond to that cup of coffee, i.e. does the caffeine cause you to experience hunger any earlier than if you had not had the coffee? If so, then it is better to wean off of the coffee. However, if the coffee does not cause early hunger, then you may be fine.

Also, as far as the milk goes, if you are only splashing enough in there to lighten your coffee, then you probably don't have to count it. But, if you are using 1/2 cup or more, then count it in to your block counts.
