I have been quite strict with staying in the Zone for over a month now. I am in awe that I have had NO cravings at all since entering the Zone . . .until something went haywire on Sunday afternoon. I am now looking at my food diary to see if there is something I can do to prevent this in the future, but meanwhile what happened is I got ridiculously hungry!

I ate lunch, then a snack, then dinner all within a few hours, trying to get rid of the hunger pangs. Then I really went wild: I ate a chocolate bunny (2 carbs) and 2 small cookies! Being a loyal Zoner, I also ate 2 ounces of cheese to balance this out a bit. Finally, I felt OK.

My first thought was how awful I'd been. But then I had to laugh at myself! If this is a Zone binge, I'm all for it! In the past, a binge meant eating maybe a quart of ice cream AND a dozen cookies AND maybe a peanut butter sandwich if I wanted something "healthy". And those binges happened a lot more frequently than once a month!

Monday morning I was back to being in the Zone. I love being in the Zone!

And, NEVER feel badly about that binge!!

For reasons unknown to most of us, sometimes things just throw us off track. Eating perfectly is not all there is to it. You also have to consider stress levels, lack of sleep, and other things that might raise your cortisol levels. And, that causes some people to go OOZ.

The beauty of the Zone is that you can just jump right back in. No regrets. Don't look back, just look forward.
