    Hi,

Can someone let me know if cottonseed oil is a neutral oil, a pro-inflammatory oil, or an anti-inflammatory oil?

    thanks

Cottonseed oil is predominantly composed of omega 6 fat; omega 6 fat promotes inflammation In the Zone we try to avoid consuming omega 6 fats as much as possible. Stick with extra virgin olive oil for salads and other cold uses, and refined olive oil (aka"light olive oil) for cooking (heating). Other good monounsaturated fats are avocado, almonds,Macadamia nuts, cashews and peanuts.
