I was wondering if people get hypoglycemic from fish oil? I'm already in the process of correcting my reactive hypoglycemia with the zone diet, and doing pretty good. I don't eat fish (taste thing) and I really want to supplement with fish oil but I'm too scared because I already issues with low blood sugar, though very improved since starting Zone diet. Any suggestions? What about eating cod fish a couple of times per week-I can tolerate it if necessary. Thank you

    Desiree,

Fish oil is fat. Eating fat does not induce hypoglycemia. To anwser your other question, it's fine to eat cod a couple times a week when following the Zone diet, but that won't be a substitute for taking fish oil. You'd haev to eat multiple pounds of cod each day to consume the amount of EPA and DHA that you get in 4 capsules of Omega Rx.

Our OmegaRX capsules are among the puriest and most potent fish oil you can buy. I too am not a big fishy fish eater either. I find the OmegaRX capsules has no fishy after taste or burps. Start off with one per day and increase to four a day over a weeks time. This way you can judge how you tolerate the fish oil and slowly increase to Dr Sears recommended daily dose.
