I knew you guys would probably love to hear about my day so far. Check out my avatar. It's only 8:45 am and that's all that's left of the cherry pie my husband baked me last night for Valentine's Day. Well, he sort of baked it. He's baked one for me from scratch every Valentine's Day that we've known each other (a lot of Valentine's Day cherry pies; we've been married 36 years). With our house literally in chaos from major repairs being done to 9 rooms (water damage from 2011 winter storms) and with him being out of his usual office at work this week, he forgot to bake one. He felt so bad about forgetting about the pie that at 8:30 last night I ran out to Stop and Shop and bought a Mrs. Smith's frozen pie for him to bake (for me, and I don't even eat pie, lol!). Fast forward up to now. I got up around 6 am, as usual, at 7:30 drove my husband to a bus so he could get to work (we're down one car for the moment; his was vandalized and totaled in the parking garage where he works...crazy), and when I got home that pie was staring me in the face. It had only one small piece cut out of it that my husband had eaten with his breakfast. It only took me 45 minutes to do the rest of the damage you see in the photo. But, it's not as bad as you might think. Mostly, all I ate was the cherry filling and I threw out the crust. Next I ate a piece of cheese, to (sort of) balance the whole thing. (Ha ha ha; I don’t eat cheese, either!) OK, so no one's perfect. :) I think I'll blame it on the concussion I received last week when someone accidentally slammed a mobile computer work station into my head (yes, really). Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

OK, I am not seeing the picture, but it just goes to show that we are all not perfect zone angels all the time!

Sorry about your concussion, hope nothing serious!

The photo in my avatar. I'm seeing it. Maybe if you refresh you'll see it. It's a mostly eaten pie, lol. Thanks, I'm ok (concussion), but things are still not quite back to totally good.

Thanks, Tracie. The rest of today was great. Work, a yoga class, a strength training session and then
we went out for dinner. :)

The avatar was not updating earlier, there was a picture of you and your grandson. Now it has updated.
