I have always like snacking on edamame. But I don't see it listed in my zone book, so I have avoided it. It has 13 g carbs and 11 g protien. Im not sure what to count it as, and if it is favorable or unfavorable. Any thoughts?

it probably has a good amount of fiber, too. Depending on the source you are using for your nutritional information, you just need to subtract the fiber from the total carbs to get your net carbs.

Looking at one of my sources, it is suggesting a 2:1 protein/carb ratio. So, for every block of carb, you are getting 2 blocks of protein.

Tracie, they're fine! They are simply soy beans. My tip, make sure they're non-GMO. I don't have access to my copy of "The Soy Zone" at the moment but I think they're on the block list there. Take the amount to yield 7 g protein, and you can usually call it a completely balanced block of P,C and F. I love edamame!
