Although I am sure that this question has been asked a multitude of times, it is really important that I know the answer.

Can anyone please tell me and if there is an iPhone app that they use to help stay in the zone? I live by my phone and know that an app would a perfect way for me to keep on track and in the zone while calculating my blocks correctly.

Please share any iPhone or PC desktop apps you may have. thank you!

Sandra, I am not aware of any apps. I don't have an iphone, but perhaps there is one that I am not aware of, as I probably have not paid attention to that before. I do have an android and have not seen any zone apps for that, either. Nor have I seen any useful apps online.

I know several years back, some folks looked into it, and there was a discussion thread on apps (mostly desktop).
However the forums have been changed twice since then. And with this recent change that took 6 months, I find the SEARCH feature very hard to use the results, inaccurate, confusing and basically useless.
However, you can try using the search feature. Maybe you will have better success than I have had trying to use it.

I have seen some of these apps, and think I have tried them, but they didn't work. It has been awhile, though, so maybe there is something more recent that may actually work!

If there was such a Zone app, what would you want it to do? Which functionality must it have to be useful?

    Personally,
It should be designed so that I can enter my meal portions and it would auto-calculate the number of blocks in the meal/snack. It should have a recipe calculator, and an extensive online food list.

I think that some kind of glycemic load rating could be added to it, so that maybe it would give a "green" indicator to a solid zone meal, a yellow one that is so-so, and a red indicator for a no-no.

And, of course, it should include a 4 hour hormonal test so that meals could be rated for their effectiveness.

Just a few ideas, off the cuff.
