As I have looked at the information, I cannot decide where or how to start. Which book is truly the simplest and best one to use to get started? My doc is one of the certified docs, and he mentioned Omega RX Zone, but I do not need all the technical information. I just need to know how to eat. What are your suggestions? Thanks!

That's great that yoru doctor recommended the Zone. I'm also Zone certified. The Zone fast program is the easiest way to stay in the Zone, no book necessary. a small instruction pamphlet comes with your first shipment, as well as some quick and easy recipe ideas (under 10 min to prepare). If you prefer to do the Classic Zone (not eating Zone Fast foods) follow this: http://www.zonediet.com/tools/zone-classic At-a-Glance is as easy as it looks, and works well. I lost 100 pounds with it and have kept it off for over 16 years with the Zone. For best results overall, (health and weight loss) you'd also supplement with Zone polyphenols and Omega RX (starting dose of Omega RX is 8 capsules daily.

A Week in the Zone, paperback is the simplest book.
Though the latest, Toxic Fat would be a good one.
It has some technical throughout to help understand, but most is left in the Appendix.

I agree, I would start with A Week In The Zone. Once you see what eating in the zone does to your whole body you will want to read about the science to get a better grasp. Have fun with it!

Just my opinion, but I really got a lot out of Mastering the Zone.

    Hi Rodney,
I am also fairly new to the zone, i did lots of research after being handed a copy of the diet by a friend who it had worked for. I am not one to start something blindly so i found lots of info researching on the net. The blocks can be found in an excel spread sheet i think i typed in zone diet + food blocks and found a food block calculator that you type in the number of blocks you need at each meal and it gives you the quantity of each food on the food blocks list (its pretty cool). I also bought a copy of Dr Sears book Zone food blocks, that has also been a handy guide. Other than that Crossfit gyms are big into Zone diet and their websites generally have heaps of info on food blocks.
Good luck hope you have found some info.
