    Hi Everyone,

Can someone please help me out in making this meal.

I would like to make a 4 block meal for consumption at my part time job. I don't have a lot of time to sit down and eat so I want to use the following foods.

    Almond Milk or Milk
Almond Butter/Peanut Butter and Jam (mixed together)

Protein Powder if I need it.

Is there anyway I can make this work. I think I'm thinking to hard and making this one meal way to complicated.

    I was thinking.

    Milk
Almond Butter and Jam mixed together

    Done.

I just don't want to have 4 cups of milk though. That's a ton.

And I can't figure out the block count on Strawberry Jam. Perhaps someone can recommend a good jam for this.

All help is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Sue

I don't recommend the jam. I suggest mixing a smoothie together ahead of time using 2 bl milk, 2 bl protein powder, 2 bl berries and 4-6 bl almond butter (the extra fat because p. powder is fat free).

    What is bl?

And why no Jam? Even if its sugar free?

Just looking for something to mix with the almond butter.

    bl = block

Berries are a more favorable carbohydrate choice than jam (whether sugar free or sweetened jam) and are a good source of polyphenols.

A good jam to use (if you feel you have to use it) would be Smuckers Low Sugar. They are made with less sugar, and there are no artificial sweeteners. Another one is Smuckers Simply Fruit--I think that one is also lower in the amount of sugar used.

That being said, I guess I don't know where you are going with the nut butter/jam combination. With the ingredients that you suggested, I think I am with Sue on this, and suggest making a smoothie. If you do choose to use jam in it, make the jam a very small portion.
