Hi. I am new to the site. I attempt to upload a profile picture, but am unable to. There is no link etc. on my profile page to complete this. I can change my name, e-mail, and password only. Also, how do I add a signature? Best, Emily |

They do not allow it with the new Forums. (They were down from November to May while they went to a new Forum.) Those of us that have been around a while, it appeared as if they transferred ours from the previous Forums. (This is the THIRD time in 8 years that they went to a "new" forum program.) |

Emily, click on My Profile at the top right, in the Forum toolbar on this page. Then click on Edit at the bottom right of your profile page. Add the photo and the signature in the appropriate boxes and then click Save at the bottom of that page. If you don't see the result in the Forums immediately try refreshing the page. :) |

Hi sue Is there anyway that you could edit to reduce the pictures and writing at the end of your posts? Like having them side by side. |

The only ways is, I think, if Sue removed (or reduced) her signature... I must say I also thought of asking Sue if she could remove pics (2nd and 3rd) part of her signature as it is difficult to read the messages. Sue, I wonder if you could just reduce the content of your signature? It is very awkward to read forum, especially when using my mobile |

I would agree, it is difficult to read the forums from a mobile device, with the long signature. |

To all concerned, my current signature was recently added by Zone Labs IT and it's fine with me. |

Hi sue Yes the signature block looks fine but it is too long. On one topic there were 3 posts by you and that took up the whole page which could have been used for other Zoners comments - there is a lot of scrolling to get to the next post. Surely the IT can condense it and have the pictures side by side .... then again they havent fixed a lot of the other requests such as the "remember me" login page. I think this might be beyond them. |

I don't see it as a huge problem when I am on my laptop or something with a larger screen. But, it is difficult to read with an android. I have a fairly large screen on mine, and it is still difficult, lots of scrolling. But, on the other hand, I think it would be fun for all of us to have the capability of dressing up our signatures! I don't think I would go for something as long as that, but it would be neat to have some options. |

You do have the capability, and in fact have had it for years. My current siggie is the same one I created and used here about 2 yrs ago. The only thing that's changed is the number of years I've been in the Zone (to bring it up-to-date). |

Matt used to have a similar siggie. Remember his b/a photos that linked to an online album? |

I recall you using photo bucket in order to do it, and I really don't want to create yet another online photo album! I remember the process of trying to do it being quite tedious, and I think I had actually accomplished it at one time, but then the changes must have wiped out when the forums went down. I don't have the time to fuss with it. |

The photos in my siggie are simply links provided by Photobucket to paste into forums. If you look at your existing photobucket album you'll find a variety of links under each of your photos. All you do is copy the link for the photo you want to use and paste it into your signature box on your profile page here. |

Yes, but in order to do it, one must have a photobucket account. (and if I recall, it was still a tricky process) As I said in my previous post, I don't really have an interest in maintaining multiple photo websites. FB is about all I can handle! |

It was very easy to set up the Photobucket acct. I misunderstood. I thought you had wanted the capablity to dress up you signature. |

No, that is not what I meant. The tricky part of the process was attaching the photobucket link to the signature. I remember trying and trying, and I don't even remember if it worked or not. I think it finally did, but the change didn't follow me with the new forum. In any case, it is a non-issue, since I am not going to be maintaining multiple photo accounts just so that I can have a LOOOOOOONNNG signature! I prefer short and sweet, cut to the chase signature lines. One photo would be nice, but not necessary, and if it is going to cause others to have difficulty viewing posts, then I wouldn't want to add to the problem. |
