I think this may help lots of people. Name a simple meal/snack that consistently keeps you in the zone. Try to use as few ingredients as possible.... - 1 "Western Bagel" Perfect 10 Healthy Grain Bagel w/ 1.5 tbsp low sugar jelly

My lunch today certainly fit the bill! I was not expecting to be staying at work as late as I did today, and so I did not come prepared with a snack for the afternoon. But, 5 hours later and was not hungry (exceptional for me!). The meal was: 3 oz pre-cooked chicken breast (Hormel Naturals) 1 green pepper, 1 roma tomato, some chopped green onion, some salsa, olive oil and guacamole. All mixed together as a salad. |

My lunch the other day consisted of many elements but it was delicious: prepare 2 blocks worth of canned tuna (drained) and slice 1 hard boiled egg. Arrange on a plate: shredded green lettuce, chopped tomato, chopped cucumber (not too much), 1/4 cup of mixed four bean salad and chopped red onion (very small). On top of that put tuna, slices of egg, and some cooked french beans. I always pour some dressing on top of it consisting of tsp of olive oil, Tbs of balsamic vinegar, 1 bit of mustard whisked together. It is my version of Nicoise salad and it is very filling. You can pile of lot of green lettuce, mixed leaves etc - it is a big portion indeed. It is lower on carbs, so I usually have some fruits for afters. |

I have a similar lunch to Bozena. Small tin of tuna (drained), big bowl of mixed lettuce leaves, 1/4 cup chickpeas, small amount red onion, feta cheese, caramelised balsamic vinegar, roasted pin nuts. Sometimes I add a small amount of grated carrot or chopped tomatoes. It keeps me full for hours. |

I have question about good food to take to work. I work 12 hrs shift. Sometimes i am very busy and dont have time to warm up food, to eat salad( it takes time). I need something very nutritious and convinient to eat. Sandwich with turkey breast or chicken breast and avocado or pesto works very good. All snacks are working good too but only for 1-2 hours. I like string cheese, egg and baby tomatoes or snow peas or grapes. Any other suggestions? I am a nurse. Thank you. |

Teri, the amount of oatmeal per week varies from one person to another. I can't eat more than 1-2 bowls per week due to carb intolerances, but some people do need more for the GLA. If your tunafish is wild caught, I believe you can eat as much as you want. I try not to eat a lot of it when it is canned, but I do enjoy a tuna steak! YUM! But, I don't eat it every day. You may want to do an internet search for recommendations on how often to eat fish each week. |

My favourite breakfast for 2 years running, always keeps me in the Zone: 1/2 c eggwhites scrambled or omelet with 1 oz no fat ham, and a handful of veggies (mushrooms, onions, peppers) 1/3 c steel cut oats with 1 c blueberries and 1 T peanut butter I usually only have time to make it on the weekends. When I get bored of the eggs, I switch it up with different spices or veggies, or use cheese instead of meat. |

You're in luck, Suzanne. The next generation of Zone foods will be available in very soon. :) In the meantime, the Zone bakery cookies are still available on the Products page. |

OR are NOT way TOO sweet like the cookies, are. It's a shame that is the only food they kept. Maybe all that sugar and they do not have to be made fresh -because of all the sugar they keep longer? |

It would also be nice, if the new products were available in both 3 & 4 blocks. It is difficult to say the least, how many record are based on a 4 block meal. I don't want to have to divide a meal or snack
