Hi to all, My husband has many health problems, some of them are histamine intolerance, gluten intolerance and severe depression. I am sure omega Rx would help him a lot (especially with dealing with depression), but I am not sure if he can take omega rx due to histamine and gluten intolerance. Any help on this matter would be appreciated, since I wasn't able to find answers on Zone websites. Thanks. Irena |

Irena, Omega Rx is fine for a gluten gree diet. I don't know enough about histamine intolerance to offer an opinion. I suggest consulting his physician and calling a Zone phone representative at 1-800-404-8171 for more help. _______________________________________________ sue Consultant for Zone Labs Certified Zone Affiliatte |

I'm not sure if you have The Anti-Inflammation Zone book but Chapter 13, Why Inflammation Hurts, How Inflammation Heals, talks about the immunological link to inflammation. The Zone Diet and OmegaRx along with polyphenols could help. Check it out. |

Thank you Sue and Tech, I've read the books, and passed the test for a certified Zone Affiliate, so this is not a new thing for me. However, the problem is that with gluten intolerance (as well as histamine intolerance) a patient needs to be very careful not to take anything containing gluten (even in smallest amounts) and histamine (found in fish). Therefore, we are only buying foods for him that are specifically labeled as "gluten free". Another problem is that we live in Croatia and here we have Omega Rx from the company called EnerZona (from Italy), according to Barry Searses' licence. I will try to contact them to see if the EnerZona Omega Rx is gluten free. My husband has also many gastrointestinal problems (he can only eat potatoes, lamb, glutein free pasta and cornmeal, swiss chard and carrots -- four times a day, seven days a week). He has lost 20 pounds (looks like a skeleton), has taken many tests and examinations, but the doctors cannot find anything. I am sure that large amounts of Omega rx would be more then helpful. Taking him in The Zone would be much more complicated considering the foods he can eat without gastrointestinal problems. But with Omega Rx we will be on a great start. Except for those two intolerance.. Terribly complicated, I know. But we will not give up.. Thanks again for your answers. Irena Ratkovic Malbasa |

Irena, other than the consideration you've given to starting fish oil, you don't mention any fats in your husband's food choices. As you know, it is important to consume monounsaturated fats. Hopefully he can find one that he can tolerate. _____________________ sue |
