So does anyone know what the story is with pecans?  Are they favorable?

They are a good source of fat.  I will see if pecans are addressed in 100 Top Zone Foods when I get home.

I didn't get a chance to look it up last night.  I probably won't have time tonight, either.  I looked at www.nutritiondata.com and I think they are pretty comparable to almonds in their breakdown, except that they are a more concentrated source of fat.  Using that resource, I can only break it down to a 1-oz serving size.  They are both a good source of monounsaturated fat.

The macadamia nut is a really good source of monounsaturated fat, and has much less omega-6, just adding that as an FYI.
