Which would be your best tip for having energy for going out at night? I´ve been nine years in the zone, I don´t stay out late but when I do go out I don´t have energy! All my energy goes to exercise, work and family, what about friends? |

Ernesto - life is all about balance so it is often a juggling act. It would be helpful to know a little more information so that the wonderful support group we have here can give you some thoughts on what you might tweak to find that balance. What do you do when you go out? In what way do you feel you don't have energy? Those types of things. Hopefully we can help you find a good solution! |

Hi Ernesto, for starters make sure the three basic parts of the Zone are all in place. The three parts are 1. The Zone diet, 2. Omega RX supplementation, and 3. Supplementation with either Sea Health Plus or Polyphenol Plus. |

I have all three parts, omega and eico pro (dose was recommended by the zone expert I attend since the begginning with inflammation blood tests) I use sea health once a day before lunch and with the zone diet I am 17 percent body fat (still working on reducing it). By going out I mean once a week at night sleeping two or three hours later than regular but those extra hours I can´t concentrate, I want to go sleep even tough I´m having fun. It´s like my body is used to my all week routine including daily exercise. Is there any tip that would help me feel better for an extra couple of hours? |

Ernesto, Assuming the possibility your tiredness could be something more than the fact that you require a certain amount of sleep, this jumped out at me when I read your most recent reply.
Eico Pro could be providing too much GLA for you now, causing the spillover effect. That could result in the noticeable lack of energy prompted by the slight change in your bedtime when you go out. The spillover effect can sneak up on you slowly, without you realizing. It happened to me with Eico Rx. The amount of GLA you started with in your Eico Pro dose could have been fine for you at first, but not over time. Montior your current status for other symptoms of spillover (to monitor symptoms, you can read more about it in Toxic Fat", and also use the Eicosanoid Status Report on drsears.com). Constipation, or a tendency toward constipation, is one of the telltale signs of spillover. If you find you're experiencing spillover, switch to Omega Rx, or a combination of Omega Rx and Eico Rx to reduce the amount of GLA you're getting.
Be sure to take your dose of Sea Health Plus with your fish oil dose.
