The balance is not quite as important as how you feel 4 hours after your meal. In terms of balance, you might be a bit short on carbs. There 2 blocks of carb in the orange, and probably close to one block of carb with the saparagus, tomato and lettuce combined. But, if you count this as 3 blocks of carb, it is still within the appropriate zone ratio. Your fat is fine, assuming that there is some fat in your chicken breast (but you may want to check this out, sometimes chicken breast is very lean and you may want to count it as you would other fat free proteins, therefore you would double the fat block). The protein is fine. So, like I said, the balance isn't as important as how you feel after eating. You need to analzye the meal in terms of the 4-Hour Hunger test. Basically, take note of how you feel 4 hours after eating. If you are not hungry and have good energy and mental focus, then you are in the Zone. If you are hungry or have poor energy/focus, then you are not in the Zone. Hunger with good focus means you didn't have enough carb in that meal. Hunger with poor focus means you had too much carb in that meal. Hope that helps! |

Gary, with those results, you must be doing it just right, you don't need meal analysis! |

Way to go, Gary! Keep up the great work. I've been Zoning for almost 3 months and feel so much better. In addition to the weight loss just the fact that I'm choosing to be in control of my health has been such a blessing. Utilize the forum for any questions - there's a wonderful group of people here who are so willing to help. |

My favorite cartoon character! Once in a while, it is good for us to take a journey back into our childhood. Young at heart! |

Thanks all, One of the reasons I dropped so fast is that I reached 341 lbs, so at weight you know the first 40-50 comes off fast , lets see how the last 50 go, but I am glad my wife found this book. |

A tip, keep tabs on your LBM with the Zone calculator to be sure you're eating enough every day and not losing LBM. http://www.zonediet.com/Tools/Calcu...fault.aspx Excellent that your wife's checking out the Zone too! ____________________________________________ sue Consultant of Zone Labs Certified Zone Affiliate Lost 100 lbs 15 yrs ago, off BP meds, thanks to the Zone diet and Zone fish oil.
