    Hi,

You're eating more calories than you think.  16 balaned Zone Blocks (each block made up of 1P, 1C and 1F) contain from approximately 1500 to 1700 calories, depending on the specific foods you choose.  I suggest rechecking your daily requirement using the Zone calulator and then designing your Zone meals according to the informatiion on this website.  The following links will help.

The Zone is about the right balance of macronutrients. Did you get a 16 block requirement from the calculator on this site? It's under the Tools Tab along with a lot of helpful information. If you click on the Quick Start Guide Tab you will find a Food Block Guide which will list foods in block increments.

    Hi,

Your list contains mostly denser carbohydrates (oatmeal and tortillas), which give your meals higher glycemic loads.  You'll have the best results when you use vegetables for most of the carbohydrates in classic Zone meals.  Try eating more vegetables and less oatmeal and tortillas.  Eliminating tortillas will give the best results. You could make an egg whits omelet filled with veggies, such as peppers, onions, tomatoes, zucchini, black beans, salsa, etc., and cut the oats back to 1 block.  Also, you could replace the tortillas in the chicken meal with veggies and have someberries for dessert.

For more ideas, refer to the links in my previous post.  Good luck!
