    Hello there!

I've missed posting and reading to this forum, I've been away for a while but I'm back
And to be honest with you I slide a little bit from the Zone and definitely was feeling not that great. So to me, was just another prove that the Zone is really a confortable zone to stay in!

I have a question and will be thankful if somebody expresses opinion.

Is White Tea helful or harmfull to the Zone Diet?
I started drinking it every morning with a piece of lemon in it to increase the anti-oxydant effect.

But I start wondering: Can the sweet (organic) taste of the tea in combination with a slice of lemon trigger the Insolin production on its own?

Or am I just being paranoic?

Thanks in advance one more time and wish everybody wonderful fantastic staying in the Zone day!

White Tea is the most potent of Teas (vs. Green or Black) for anti-oxidants from teas.
BUT, I would NOT add lemon!!! Lemon brings out some of the harmful minerals that might be in the tea that was absorbed from the soil when the tea was grown.
    .
As far as sweetness from Pomigranite - NO, I would not worry about it. (Unless you add a sweetener to your tea...)

    Thanks John!

I am removing the lemon piece out of my tea as we speak

PS. How about a piece of lemon added to plain water? Is it harmful as in the tea case? I'm trying to drink my 64oz water every day as easier as possible

Christina, good to hear from you again.  No worries about adding lemon to water.     If you add a significant amount of lemon (more then a couple slices) be sure to consider the carbohydrate as part of your daily intake, and balance it with P and F.  For a little change, you can put slices of apple, cucumber, lemon and lime in a pitcher of water and chill.  It's very refreshing.

I just noticed  your username "angel_in_dc".  I spend a lot of time just outside DC with family (in Olney) .  I'm there right now.

I've been wondering about a similar thing myself- not the tea, but that I've heard that the tongue tasting sweetness releases insulin in preparation for the carb entering the body but I've also heard that stevia doesn't have an effect on your insulin...can anyone clear this up/explain this to me?
