Hi, I'm new to the zone I am a bodybuilder with a LBM of 230 pounds. I am have calculated my protein needs at 26 protein blocks. Do I need to follow the 40-30-30 pattern if yes then that will mean 34 blocks of Carb, 26 of fat and protein. Is that too many calories? Thanks for any advice Neil

Whether or not you need to follow this 40-30-30 caloric composition will depend on your own biochemistry, meaning that the amount of carb blocks may need to be adjusted up or down relative to protein intake. In addition, elite athletes and others who happen to metabolize fat rather quickly may need more fat blocks.
