Does anyone know whether sweet dumpling squash are favorable or unfavorable?  Initially, I assumed that they would be similar to acorn squash in their favorability,or lack of, but when I looked up the nutrition facts they seem to be pretty dissimilar.

Sorry, I don't even know what that is, never heard of that variety!

Where did you look for the nutrition facts?

Claire, if it's a winter squash (very hard flesh) it's probably unfavorable.  If it's summer squash variety (usually soft fleshed, like zucchini) you could probably consider it favorable.

    Sue,

it looks like it's a winter squash, and I think you're probably right about them being unfavorable.  The nutrition facts put them 3grams of carbs above summer squash and 3-7grams of carbs below things like pumpkin and acorn squash.

Thanks for the added info. I looked at the website, and it is definitely a winter squash, so this would be an unfavorable squash.

There are only a few squash varieties that are favorable, sue mentioned the zucchini and yellow (summer) squash.  In addition, spaghetti squash is also favorable--I believe it is considered a winter squash, and it is the only winter squash to my knowledge that is favorable.
