I'm glad because I was really wanting to try one. Is there zone icecream to go with that brownie? This diet is def. great with the additions of zonefast foods. Unfortunately It's not helping me not want the cookies and breads.. but at least I don't want the kind I'm not supposed to eat..

I'm excited about the brownies too. I buy a ton of them and put them in the freezer and when I want one, if I'm home, I'll pop it in the toaster oven and toast it. It tastes like it's homemade right from the oven, gooey in the middle. If I'm not home it tastes good after it thaws too!

So I finally bit the bullet (paid a small fortune) and ordered 1 pkg brownies, 1 pkg coconut chocolate chip cookies, and 1 pkg multi-grain bread.  I used Auto-Ship which I will promptly cancel after the order arrives.  The Auto-Ship discount helped pay most of the outrageously high shipping costs.  And WHY is only auto-ship at 7 or 14 days?  Why not a 30-day auto-ship?  AND despite being able to call, I still think one should be able to manage auto-ship on-line.
    .
I've seen comments about the cookies (especially) being too sweet.  Pre-Zone, I used to eat Kashi Go-Lean, in and of itself not a bad choice for my pre-Zone days.  It does not have much sugar, but even so it is a little too sweet for me.  (I always wondered why they felt the need to add additional evaporated cane sugar to it.) A little less sweetness, not much, but a little less, would have been perfect - for me - but that was my Pre-Zone days.
    .
So I am very doubtful about the ZoneFast 1-2-3 products because many, many comments stated how so overly sweet they are.  So, I am sure they will probably be way too sweet for me.  Why make products that sweet to begin with?  But, I am willing to give them a shot.  Because I have a week-long conference coming up at eom February with not a lot of real, wholesome good food choices.
    .
And for my wife, even if they are balanced and sustain hormonal control, any food with sweetness (deserts) can set her off on a sweet eating binge, so I'll carefully see how these do for her, as well.
    .
Overall, I am not sure of the decision by Dr. Sears too make these products so sweet that folks who are Zoners even comment so much about how they are way too sweet.  There is no need to make a good quality tasting food that sweet,  What is the purpose?  (A theory: Possibly to cover up the fact that there might be unpleasant, unappealing flavors hidden because of the process of trying to make an unhealthy food, healthy?)   Well I'll hold back a little until my "small fortune investment" arrives.

John, well if you think Kashi Go Lean is a bit too sweet, then I think you will definitely have difficulty with the cookies (I have never tried the brownies, but I really didn't feel I needed to go there because I was afraid of the same problem).

I agree with you, why do we need to sweeten things to that extreme?  My experience was that the sweetness turned me off.  AND, the sweetness even turned off my kids, they tried the cookies and didn't like them.  Truly, if I want a chocolate chip cookie, I would prefer the real thing.

Now, I will also have to say that I had tried a sample of the cinnamon rolls, and I will admit that I DID enjoy that!  It was sweet, but much more like eating the real thing, and not overpoweringly sweet like the cookies.

I guess I have shared my opinion on the products a multitude of times, so I probably should just leave it at that, although I am highly interested in what you think about it all!

Hi John -- like your wife, I have challenges with sweets leading to binges. For this reason, I was reluctant to try the Zone cookies, and even the cinnamon breads/rolls. However, I was very surprised to find that neither triggered cravings or binges. I don't find them overly sweet, but I'm not a good judge -- I have an incredible sweet tooth! However, I will say, the longer I don't eat sweets, the "sweeter" they taste -- this is likely why these foods are too sweet for you.

I was also very surprised to find that I get into the Zone much more quickly when eating Zone foods, and I have greater satiety with them than with any other foods. Again, I was very surprised to find that as well. The only drawback for me is that I really miss "real food". Since I don't like pasta, I've been having traditional Zone dinners. I'm finding the combination of Zone food for breakfast and lunch with a traditional Zone dinner is a good mix for me. I also love Greek yogurt, so sometimes have this with berries as a snack instead of a Zone cookie or granola.

I agree that some of the products are unnecessarily sweet. I think it perpetuates our desires for sugar rather than wholesome food. And I'm completely baffled how big chunks of chocolate can possibly be Zone! I'm enjoying the pretzels: chewy and savoury. However, the last one I had held me for only about an hour. Having another one as we speak for lunch, with a piece of cheese, peach and green beans. We'll see how this one lasts!

I finally got a chance to tell my wife (we've had a busy week/weekend) about my (our) limited trial of these expensive ZoneFast 1-2-3 foods, in part because of my need when I go to Las Vegas in February.
    .
Her first comment, "Doesn't this type of food add to or encourage bad eating habits, or not encourage leartning good eating habits - rather than help folks who have been struggling to begin with?"
    .
Good Point! A lot was initially said here, that these foods were marketed to and partially for those who might not otherwise have heard of the Zone or are eating healthy to begin with.
    .
On another note, I should be receiving my limited order and start my trial, today.  I ordered on Thursday, and with second day shipping being only 0ne dollar more than their least expensive method of shipping, I should be receiving the order, today.  Although, unlike most internet ordering, ZONE does NOT provide the shipping Tracking number!

Zone food hasn't created bad eating habits at my house.  For the newbies here, I had been successfully following the Zone diet and lifestyle for 15 years (maintaining a 100 pound weight loss, and not struggling to do so) when I began the ZoneFast 1-2-3 Program last November.  I made the switch from clasic Zone meals to the 1-2-3 Program to take advantage of the improved health benefits it offers. It certainly hasn't negatively influenced my eating habits.  In fact it has immensely improved my cholesterol levels (refer to my post here from last July) and I've lost another 15 pounds.   Zone foods have made staying in the Zone more convenient that it's ever been, and better on the pocketbook, too.

You can call the 800 number at the top of this page to get tracking numbers.

    Enjoy your Zone foods John.

I totally agree, John.  And, totally agree with your wife's observation.

Keep us posted on how it goes when you are able to try the foods.

Hi Everyone!  My latest Zone food order arrived this afternoon, complete with brownies, and just time for my snack.  It's great to have them back!
