    Cool!  I have never heard of it.  I wonder how it would zone out?  Especially if low sugar and high fiber, sounds like it may fit the bill for the Zone.

    I would want to know more about the additional nutritional value.
    Because, I looked it up, and based on traditional USA minimum labels, which do not tell much, it is:
    .
    Serving size 50 grams (~1.8 oz by wt)
    Carbs:  41 grams  --  (Yowser! - I do not know how much by volume this is?)
    Fiber:  0 grams
    Sugars:  0 grams
    Protein:  4 grams (but unuseable and therefore non-countable)
    Fat:  0 grams
    Cholesterol:  0 grams
    Vitamins A, C, Calcium, & Iron:  0 %
    .
    However, Minimum USA labeling requirements do not list any other INFO such as Polyphenols, anti-oxidants, ETC.
    .
    Black Thai rice (same?) is $4.00 per pound at nutsonline dot com.

    I'd say use it sparingly just as any other unfavorable carbohydrate.

    John, I wonder if the nutritional information is correct?  Maybe not referring to the same thing?    The article suggests it is packed with fiber, but the nutritional info doesn't show any. 

    Not that I am going to jump right up and start eating it, but it would be interesting to see where the article obtained its nutritional information?

    Just because it carries the label of rice, doesn't mean it is all bad!
