Hey everyone, Like many people in this section I am a crossfitter. But not a newbie, Ive been doing in consistently for a year and a half. For most of this past year Ive been following a paleo diet approach, eating whatever quantities I wanted of "quality" foods. I had a great benefit but I really want to squeeze all the performance out of my diet that I can, and the zone promises that. I have entered my info and it comes up with the recommendation of 20 blocks a day for me. 140 g of protein, 180g of carbs, 30g of fats. This is much higher carbohydrate ratio then I am used to, on a good week i eat less than 50g a day. Its also much less fat than i normally eat, probably closer to 100g a day. Many crossfitters recommend 2x fat or 3x fat or 5x fat and .5x carbs...what are youre all opinions on this, I can't recall any elite crossfitter following the zone in its recommended ratios? any reason for this?
