Instead of using milk or soy milk, I saw a post on these forums about substituting plain low fat yogurt instead, but now cannot find the information.

Was it 1 cup of plain low fat yogurt for 3 blocks?

Also, I think a bit of olive oil or pure vanilla extract was added?

I've tried this in the past and it was great.  In my experience whenever I drink the shakes with soy milk, I am hungry within an hour every time. ??

    Thanks!

I agree with you, I tend to feel more hunger when I "drink" a shake, as opposed to making a "pudding" out of it with yogurt.

If you use 1 cup of plain lowfat yogurt, that is equal to a 2-block serving.  The shake mix is divided up into packets of 2 blocks each.  So, if you want a 3-block serving, then you would only use 1/2 cup of yogurt with the packet of shake mix.

Ah, just now I found the old information, and it is different from Cranberrycat's reply? Help!

"if you mean the envelopes of Dr. Sears Zone shake mix, you'd add 2/3 teaspoon of olive oil to one packet mixed into 1 cup of low fat yogurt for a balanced 3 block meal (the shake mix contains some fat). "

Hmmm, it may depend on the brand of yogurt that you are using. Check the label on the brand that you use. Most labels suggest that 1 cup of yogurt is equal to 2 zone blocks of protein and carb. The Zone Block Guide also reflects the same information. Also, depending on fat content, you may want to go ahead with the addition of olive oil, as a lowfat yogurt may not have enough fat to meet your needs. THe shake mix is equal to 2 complete zone blocks, as per the information that I found online.
