OK, so it's happening more and more. I log onto forums to post to a great thread, I spend 10 minutes or more collecting thoughts, spell checking and then I go to hit submit.
Then the submission gets completely lost because somehow, I've logged out. What the ARGH!!!! I just JUST logged in, correctly, and I'm already logged out? I didn't time out, leave the desk, close the computer, or even close the window.
Is it too much for the site to add cookies features so I can stop logging in 6 times a day, seriously? Nothing is more agrivating than losing an entire post, replying to 3-4 people, and then realizing it's gone, not coming back, and to rewrite it will mean I need another 10-15 minutes... that downgrades posting quality, frequency & motivation. I really won't feel like posting if my posts are lost suddenly like this, and if I care to rewrite my post, it'll be shorter, less interesting, and lower the discussion of the entire board. Zonefolks, please upgrade this pain in the ARGH!!! |

I stay logged in for weeks at a time, so I am not sure it is the web site. Every day I close FireFox, and reopen it, and it opens with the same tabs I had open previously (a setting?), and I am still logged in to these forums. So it might be something with your Internet provider losing connection?

Steven, if you write your post in Word and then paste it in to submit it, you won't lose it. |

I have to log in every time, too, which is highly unusual. I have a PC. |
