    Can anyone tell me how much whole wheat pasta equates to how many carb blocks? And also, does it fall under a good, fair, or poor choice? Thank you!

    Carbohydrates, as classified by Dr. Sears, are either favorable - they have a low glycemic load and help with control, or they are unfavorable - they have a high glycemic load.
    .
    Whole Wheat pasta is very high in unfavorable carbohydrates; albeit, better than white flour pasta.
    Pasta is usually about only 1/4 cup cooked equivalent to 1 carbohydrate unfavorable block.
    .
    You do have a couple of choices, though:
    .
    1.) However, although still unfavorable, Dreamfields brand has a patented method which binds most of the carbohydrates in pasta which then acts like fiber. 4oz uncooked or 8oz cooked (10g) is one block. This is a very large sized portion of pasta! I am grain type carb sensitive, and have no problem, as long as I keep unfavorable carbs to no more than 25% of total carbs. They sell seven shapes: Rotini, Spaghetti, Linguini, Angel Hair, Elbows, Pencil Points (Penne Regate), and Lasagna - and are priced similar to most whole wheat pasta's you find in the grocery stores, and are readily available (USA) in many grocery stores, themselves.

    2.) ZoneFast foods (or Zone 1-2-3 foods) includes a Zone balanced pasta that is balanced (P,F,C) and has usable protein that is more effective with hormonal control/balance than normal, real foods.
