I used to be a coffee drinker and now I've found smoothies. Is it bad to have a smoothie everyday for breakfast? I'm using fruits as my carbs, soy protein powder and nuts as my fat like the receipe in the Zone books. I'm just swapping out different carb blocks. I'm trying to loss weight while getting healthy with the Zone. Is having smoothies everyday M-F ok on the Zone as long as they are balanced? This has really been great for me since I don't have a ton of time in the morning to prepare breakfast. |

Hi Jennifer, in addition to Zone balance, it depends on whether or not you maintain satiety (no hunger), good mental focus and good energy levels for 4 hours after your smoothie meals. Those are the indicators that your Zone balanced meal is apprioriate for your needs. If your smoothies provide you with at least 4 hours of good energy and concentration, and you're not getting hungry, then it's fine for you to eat them every day for breakfast. |

I go great with them and stay satisfied until lunch. Is soy protein powder ok to use? I've been looking for egg white powder but haven't been able to find it. |
