Hi guys, I am still working with this diet but have been trying to eyeball certain foods prescribed in cups but don't come in shapes or sizes easily measured in a measuring cup (for example, asparagus or anything else you can't fit into a measuring cup unless you cut it or something, which is problematic for grilling it). Anyone have any other ideas on how to measure this stuff? Thanks.

Your eyeballing it should be good enough.
After measuring a lot of foods that can be measured, you really do get a good idea of a cup. 1/2 cup etc.
However, if you're really concerned about getting very close, you could also weigh it, which is even more accurate.

Do you have a list of how much 1 cup of this and that weighs? I'd much rather prefer weighing my dry ingredients than measure by the cup.

You can e-mail me (JayDPiii at yahoo dot com). I have a (PDF file) Food Brick Guide that some one who posted here for a while, put together. (He used bricks to distinguish it - because it is not an official Dr. Sears list.) . It lists favorable foods by weight (grams).
