    Hi,
I am sorry I haven't been writing and, most of all, reading your posts for a while because I couldn't find the community anymore. Well, I'm back now and so glad to have found you.
I faced some problems lately. After reaching a very nice weight and BMI, my body stopped losing weight and, what is worst, he decided to put on some kilos again, as if he was taking a period of rest. You can't imagine my frustration. Even because everyone in my family was still losing or mantaining the weight. I can't explain it. i went to a specialist but it didn't help. Do you think emotions can affect the way the body and the weight work? Because I colund give one or two reasons concerning my emotional state that affected me.
Anyway I feel better now, recovering from bad moments. My crucial question is, do you think it can "work" again as it did before and I will be back to my ideal weight and BMI? I mean, is it possible to get out of the Zone and than, starting losing weight againg and be back to the past good sensations and health. Has it ever happened to you?
I would thank you very much for any tips and support.

Hi Enza, With increased stress comes increased cortisol output, which will reduce the efficiency of the immune system and increase insulin levels (that is why you overeat). Stress is here to stay, but clinical trials (Fontani et in Eur J Clin Nutr (2005)) with the Zone Diet and EPA/DHA concentrates have demonstrated the ability to reduce the impact of stress.

I would also try to do some spiritual learning to learn how to deal with negative emotions and stress. You can get familiar with the teachings of Abraham (abraham-hicks.com) and use a wonderful process called the Focus Wheel to handle emotions better and become happier. Works amazingly well.
